Aunt Peggy's Christmas Crescent Cookies
CHRISTMAS CRESCENT COOKIES
2 sticks of butter
2 cups flour
2 cups finely chopped pecans
5 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1-tablespoon water
½ teaspoon salt
SUPERFINE SUGAR
Oven 325º
Cream butter and add sugar, vanilla and water. Sift flour and slat together and stir into mixture. Add pecans and mix thoroughly.
Using portions about the size of a small walnut, roll into crescent shaped cookies.
Bake in slow oven (325º) about 20 minutes.
While warm, roll in superfine sugar.
Makes approx. 100 cookies.
